MoneyKhata is a personal finance and digital khata application provided by Softcracy Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
MoneyKhata helps users manage personal expenses, income, people-wise transactions, amounts given and received, reminders, reports and financial records.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting information associated with your use of the application.
Privacy by design: MoneyKhata is designed with a local-first approach. Your financial records are intended to remain on your device by default unless you explicitly choose a feature that requires data to leave your device, such as an encrypted backup.
Depending on the features you use, MoneyKhata may process the following categories of information:
Information associated with authentication, such as your email address, phone number or authentication provider information.
Expenses, income, categories, khata transactions, amounts given or received, notes and related records.
Names and phone numbers of people you add to your MoneyKhata records.

Your financial records are private. MoneyKhata does not sell your financial information to advertisers or other companies.
MoneyKhata may request access to your contacts when you explicitly choose to import a person from your device contacts.
We do not require access to your entire contact list simply to use the application. Contact access is requested only when the related feature is used.
Notification permission may be requested to deliver reminders that you create, such as pending payment reminders.
If a receipt scanning feature is enabled in the application, camera access may be requested when you choose to scan a receipt.

MoneyKhata follows a local-first approach for financial data. Financial records are stored locally on your device by default.
Authentication information may be processed through the authentication service configured for MoneyKhata.
Important: Removing the application, changing devices or losing access to your device may affect locally stored financial records if you have not created a backup.
MoneyKhata may provide encrypted backup and restore features. These features are optional and are initiated by you.
Before a backup leaves your device, MoneyKhata is designed to encrypt the backup using modern encryption techniques.
The backup password or encryption credentials should be kept securely by you. If you lose the credentials required to decrypt a backup, we may not be able to recover the encrypted contents for you.
If you choose to use Google Drive backup, the encrypted backup file may be uploaded to your Google Drive account.
MoneyKhata does not intentionally upload your financial records to Google Drive in an unencrypted form as part of the encrypted backup feature.
Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policies.

When you choose to share a transaction, reminder or statement using WhatsApp, SMS or another communication application, the information is passed to the application you select.
Once information is shared through another application, its handling is governed by that application's privacy policy.
Financial records stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear the application data, uninstall the application or otherwise remove them through available application functionality.
Backup copies may continue to exist in locations where you have intentionally stored them, such as your personal Google Drive account, until you delete those copies.
MoneyKhata is intended for general personal finance management and is not designed specifically for children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in MoneyKhata, applicable laws, technologies or our privacy practices.
